On April 22, 2026, at 14:00, an Erasmus+ information meeting for disadvantaged students was held at the Reading Hall of the Life Center at Ondokuz Mayıs University. During the event, participants were provided with detailed information about the Erasmus+ programme application processes and the opportunities it offers.
Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tütüncü highlighted the inclusiveness of the programme in his presentation, emphasizing the importance of enabling disadvantaged individuals to participate more effectively in international mobility opportunities. He stated that the Erasmus+ programme not only supports academic development but also promotes equal opportunities and social awareness.
In addition, Mr. Kadir Demir, a sign language interpreter working under the Samsun Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services and Vice President of the Sign Language Interpreters Association, voluntarily provided sign language interpretation services during the awareness and information event held within the Erasmus+ framework. Thanks to his contribution, access to the event for hearing-impaired participants was facilitated.
Mr. Demir was thanked for his dedicated contribution, voluntary support, and valuable efforts in increasing social awareness.
