The theme for 2016: Water
Drinking water is becoming an increasingly scarce resource. At the same time, global warming is causing severe flooding and rising sea levels. The Intercontinental Panel on Climatic Change (IPCC) predicts sea levels will rise up to three feet by the end of this century.
Where better to discuss water management then here in the Netherlands? We are the world's best-known water managers. We have a great track record in building flood defences and reclaiming new land and have one of the best drinking water systems in the world.
We hope The Hague Summer School 2016 will spark discussions on 'water' between students and experts. Our two general modules span issues from global water management to change and innovation in water management. Key organisations and ministries in The Hague will be on board to share their first hand experiences.
