ERASMUS+ KA107 International Credit Mobility Programme (ICM Programme)

►What is International Credit Mobility?

For over 25 years, Europe has funded the  Erasmus+ program, which has enabled  over  3 million European students to spend part of their studies  in  another higher  education  institution  (HEI)  elsewhere  in  Europe.  Erasmus+ now opens up these opportunities to students and staff from other parts of the world. Under  international  credit  mobility,  a  HEI in  a  Partner  Country can  send  its  students  and  vice  versa.  Students are able to study abroad for a limited period of 3 to 12 months for which credits are obtained. After the mobility  phase,  the  students  return  to  their  sending  institution  to  complete  their  studies.

►How to apply?

The application process is started by the Erasmus + KA107 incoming staff & student application call that Ondokuz Mayıs University International Relations Office sends via e-mail to all the partner institutions. The partner institutions nominate their candidates. Staff and student selections must be done by  an Erasmus selection commission of atleast 5 members and this commission must be appointed by your university legal representative and approved by the Rectorate. The decisions with the lists of the students and staff (both awarded and reserve lists) must be approved by the commission members (with signatures on each page) and these approved decisions need to be sent via e-mail to erasmus@omu.edu.tr. Applications without official nominations will not be accepted.

►Next step

After we received the selection decision from the student's home University, students will need to complete the LA form, application form and first contact and accommodation form. Students will also need to send us their latest transcript of records document. Again, we prefer them to be send including all the signatures and seals.

►Grant Payment

Please note that we will need you to open a bank account here because the most convenience way to make your Grant Payment is;

  1. to get from city  tax office a tax number.
  2. open up a bank account in our University Campus Ziraat Bank Branch

►Final Step

Students will be paid 70% grant on their arrival and 30% grant on their return (your return boarding passes, copies of your passport pages including stamps of your departure from and entry to your country). In the Erasmus Handbook prepared by the Turkish National Agency it is stated that, within 30 days of the end of the mobility period, students are invited to fill out an online EU survey. The survey must be completed within 15 days after the survey link has been sent to the student. The completed survey is considered a request for the remaining 30% grant which will be made within 30 proceeding days.

ARTICLE 5 – EU SURVEY
5.1.      The participant shall complete and submit the online EU Survey after the mobility abroad within 30 calendar days upon receipt of the invitation to complete it.
5.2       Participants who fail to complete and submit the online EU Survey may be required to partially or fully reimburse the financial support received
