ERASMUS+ KA107 International Credit Mobility Programme (ICM Programme)

►Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments (STA)

Staff Mobility for Teaching Assignments is a mobility activity that allows academic staff of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) to teach educational activities at a partner HEI in the program countries abroad. Erasmus+ KA107 STA can be in any subject area/academic discipline such as take part in academic consultations, seminars, organising a workshop, lecturing and other activities.  

►Staff Mobility for Training Assignments (STT)

Staff Mobility for Training Assignments is a mobility activity that supports the professional development of administrative staff in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organisation in the program countries. Erasmus+ KA107 STT can be in any subject area such as attending classes in the relevant departments to observe the education methods or job shadowing.

►Application Period

Erasmus+ extends beyond Europe, allowing for mobility from and to other parts of the world (between 33 Program and 84 Partner Countries). Program Countries are those countries participating fully in the Erasmus+ program. Turkey is one of the 33 Program Countries. Partner Countries cover the rest of the world outside the European Union.

In order to conduct teaching / training mobility within the framework of Erasmus+ KA107 ICM Programme, there must be an Erasmus+ Inter-institutional agreement (IIA) signed between Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) and the partner institution.

OMU International Relations Office (IRO) announces the application dates, deadlines and procedures at least one month prior to applications. Application announcements are sent via e-mail to the partner institutions International Offices. The partner institutions nominate the teaching / training staff  in a fair selection process. Staff selections must be done by  an Erasmus selection commission of atleast 5 members and this commission must be appointed by your university legal representative. The decisions with the lists of staff (both awarded and reserve lists) must be approved by the commission members (with signatures on each page) and these approved decisions need to be sent via e-mail to Applicants must be officially nominated by their home universities. Applications without official nominations will not be accepted. The number of administrative staff that can be nominated is announced in our grant details list send attached in our Erasmus + KA107 incoming staff application call.

►Application Requirements and Documents:

Applicants must be

a member of the partner university (STT),

employed for teaching and lecturing at the partner university (STA),

have a minimum English proficiency level of B2, according to our signed IIA (Inter- institutional agreement) between the partner university,

selected and nominated by the partner university during the application period


After the partner university completes the selection process, the following application documents must be sent to IRO via e-mail to

►Duration of the Activities 

After we receive the selection decision from the staff's home University, staff will only need to complete the LA for the relevant mobility type. Teaching staff will need to teach for minimum of 8 hours within the 5 days of their visit. That is approximately 1.5 hours a day. It depends on the staff. He/she can teach for 2 days 4 hours per day or spread it along 5 days. The training staff will need up to 6 hours of activities per day. Teaching and Training staff can visit our university for 5 working days but will be paid for 7 days (the remaining 2 days will be travelling days.)The deadline for their application is a month prior to their planned visit in one of the below-set dates because we will need to consult with our relevant department (in terms of time, suitability etc.) before accepting. In order to learn the exact durations, applicants need to check the list of available budget/quota for each country, which will be specifically announced in our grant details list in each application call e-mail .

We had set four dates for incoming staff. They may choose to do their mobility between any of the below given dates they wish.

Important notes:

• The activity must take place until the end of related project term, which will be announced by IRO. For instance, mobilities conducted within the framework of the 2017-2018 project term, the teaching activity must be finalized by 31 July 2019.

►Daily Grant Amounts (Project 2017-1-TR01-KA107-041977)

For incoming teaching/training mobility period, the grant per day is 140 €.

Travel Grant

In addition to the daily grants, the travel grant is calculated by using the “Distance Calculator” below:

The distance calculator is used to determine the distance between the location where the staff is residing and the place of activity. The kilometres in distance calculated by the distance calculator corresponds to the round-trip and the amount does not get multiplied by two.

A Sample of Grant Calculation

For a visit from Russia for 5 working days, the total grant is calculated as follows:

Daily Grant: 140*5 (days) + 140*2 (travel days) = 980 €

Travel Grant: 530 €

Total Grant: 1510 €

►Required Documents for the Selected Beneficiaries

Before the Arrival

  1. Application and Nomination Documents
  2. Erasmus+ Staff Mobility agreement – teaching/training form: confirmed by all required parties

After the Arrival 

  • Turkish tax number: we will need you to open a bank account here because the most convenient way to make your Grant Payment is; to get a tax number from the city tax office and open up a bank account in our University Campus Ziraat Bank Branch. For the details about how to get a Turkish tax number, our office will help you on this matter in the first paperwork day.
  • Flight Tickets and Boarding passes (for a round trip): For EU grant regulations beneficiaries should keep their flight tickets + boarding passes. On the arrival, we will need the e-tickets (for flight) and boarding passes. If beneficiaries are not travelling by plane, they must keep their relevant travel tickets instead. Please note that without these documents it is not possible to make individual support payment for travel days. So please bear in mind to bring these documents with you. After these steps, we will prepare the “KA107 Grant Agreement”.
  • Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Grant Agreement: filled and signed by the required parties. According to EU programme rules, OMU will prepare the “KA107 Grant Agreement” which the applicant has to sign on the arrival of the beneficiaries at OMU which regulates the financial aspect of the mobility.
  • Certificate of Attendance: provided by OMU IRO.

On your return to your Country

For us to complete the file we need the applicant's return boarding passes and copies of the passport pages including stamps of the departure from and entry to the applicant's country. The scanned copies of these documents are sufficient. Furthermore, in accordance to the below article of the Staff Mobility Grant Agreement you will need to complete the EU Survey. EU Survey: is an online survey which will be sent by IRO to beneficiary’s e-mail address.

5.1.      The participant shall complete and submit the online EU Survey after the mobility abroad within 30 calendar days upon receipt of the invitation to complete it.
5.2       Participants who fail to complete and submit the online EU Survey may be required to partially or fully reimburse the financial support received

1. If you need accommodation we have a “Guest house” on our campus which is close to our office. Single room price is 90 TL (Turkish Liras) about 18 euros per day + breakfast.
